As it is always being inspired by the Holy Spirit, especially at the beginning of every year, The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye has called for 63 days fasting and prayer which is to commence on the 11th of January 2021. He has encouraged all members of the church to participate in this spiritual exercise for them to experience what God is set to do in the year 2021.
The fasting and prayer programme has been segmented into three phases of 21 days each. The first phase has been dedicated for giving thanks to God for all that He has done, all that He is doing and all that He will do. For the second phase of the prayer and fasting, members are to call for God’s mercy for self, family, RCCG and for the country. The final 21 days is meant for all forms of prayer in which participants are to demand from God growth; expansion; supernatural provisions; miracles signs and wonders; demand for Nigeria physical and economic healings; and other prayers as may be desired.
Furthermore, the General Overseer said that for those embarking on dry fasting, 12 days will suffice for the 21 days fasting of each phase while 30 days straight will cover for the whole 63 days fasting.
Similar spiritual exercise in the past had been followed with miracles for individuals, the church and the nation, this promises to do much more as it ushers members of the church and the nation into divine recovery after the experience of the year that just ended.
